Rheumatoid Arthritis: Is Methotrexate right for you?

Welcome to the ANSWER (Animated, Self-serve, Web-based Research tool), a program created by the University of British Columbia, Arthritis Research Centre of Canada, University of Ottawa and the Centre for Digital Media.

You should use this program only if you have rheumatoid arthritis and if your doctor has suggested Methotrexate as a treatment option for you.

This program is not recommended if you have not been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis or if your doctor has not suggested Methotrexate for you.

In the ANSWER program, we aim to help you decide if Methotrexate, one of the rheumatoid arthritis medications, is the right treatment option for you.

This program focuses on two different options:

          1 . To start methotrexate,
          OR
2 . To discuss further treatment options with your doctor.

The decision of which option to choose is different for everyone. It is important to consider how rheumatoid arthritis affects you and how you feel about the benefits and potential side effects with each option. By telling you what you need to know about Methotrexate, this program will help you make an informed choice.
